Since my youngest daughter was born, 8 years ago, I have NEVER cooked a Thanksgiving day dinner. The holidays are already an overwhelming time and the last thing I wanted to do was spend hours slaving away in the kitchen, only to serve my fancy home-cooked meal and then immediately clean it all up again. I wanted to spend my Thanksgiving day with the rest of my family, watching football and enjoying appetizers before the big meal!
8 years ago I was on a quest to take some of the stress off since my youngest daughter was only a few months old and my older daughter was a picky toddler. The idea of facing a day in the kitchen cooking a Thanksgiving day meal didn’t sound fun. It was that year that I discovered Boston Market heat and serve Thanksgiving meals.
We always liked the food atBoston Market and so when I learned you could have a ready to serve complete Thanksgiving meal made and ready to heat and serve from the store, I signed up for my first one. The fact that almost all the food could be heated in less than 8 minutes (and much of it stayed it’s original container which mean NO DISHES, was the clincher for me!
After that first year, I was hooked. So every year after that we would place our order, drive to the restaurant and pick up our meals. Typically the Wednesday before my husband would stop by and pick it up on his way home from work. The food was always fantastic, my kids loved the mashed potatoes and the spinach artichoke dip was always a hit! The complete meals even included dessert! I literally had NOTHING TO DO! It was fantastic.
Now I’ve learned thatBoston Market has made it even EASIER. (I didn’t think it was possible!) Now you don’t even have to drive to the store! They are now providing home delivery, which means you can get Thanksgiving meals delivered directly to your door!
I made of short movie of exactly how it works and just what comes in the whole roasted turkey dinner for 12:
Of course the option to still order in store is there. We have always loved that option since we add a few a la carte items onto our meal (Have you tried the Boston Market Sweet Potato casserole?! SERIOUSLY.. it is life changing!) We also love the cornbread. If you pick up in store you can add those onto your pickup order. You can also eat in store or even have your entire meal catered. There are a lot of options.
This post was sponsored by Boston Market, but the experiences and opinions are mine. I really do love their meals, and I couldn’t wait to share this great option with you!
